Personnel monitoring

Merya RTLS

Merya RTLS is a dedicated solution for protecting personnel working in challenging conditions. The system is based on active personal radio tags with an integrated detection sensor for position change, movement between zones, or immobility (fainting). The system can be connected with local security and emergency services.

Safety

An SOS button allows quick help call when an employee feels threatened, is involved in, or witnesses an accident.

Location

RFID tags enable precise employee location within a protected facility and visualization of alarm events on a map.

Automatic detection

The system automatically detects dangerous events like an employee fall, a worker collapse, or prolonged immobility.

System operation

The MERYA RTLS comprises a central unit – RLU, monitoring units FLM, detectors RLS, and personal tags RLK. The RLU and FLM communicate via a TCP/IP network. The RLS detector is a radio module collecting signals from wireless personal tags RLK. Tags communicate with detectors on an alarm system frequency of 868MHz up to 40 m in direct visibility. The range can be extended to 80 m using a larger antenna. RLS detectors can be placed directly at workstations or rooms requiring personal monitoring. The RLK tag information about a person lying immobile, falling, or pressing an SOS button is transmitted in real-time to the central unit. The RLU unit stores all alarm situation information and employee zone location (including authorized/unauthorized zones). Remote system access is available via a web browser.

Additional capabilities

The MERYA RTLS has multiple applications. By configuring RLS detector ranges, access permissions for each area can be defined. An unauthorized tag appearance triggers an immediate system alert. The MERYA RTLS assists security in personnel verification. It enables counting and identifying personnel locations. The system is particularly useful during a facility evacuation to verify if someone remains in a hazard zone.
